Happiness is one of the fundamental emotional requirements of human species from the time of their existence… Like everyone’s uniqueness, happiness, too, doesn’t have any specific definition… Something that is universal and yet not common...is an interesting facet to ponder upon…
Let’s first establish the fact that happiness is the core emotional requirement, for that we need to be honest with certain questions.

Why do I want to have a certain career?

Why do I have financial goals?
-
What will the accomplishment of my financial goals bring into my life?

What do security and success bring into my life?
-
Why do I want to be connected to people socially and personally?
-
Why I don’t want to be connected to the environment?
-
Will all of this brings me happiness?
Every question eventually boils down to happiness being the ultimate aspect of life.
Now the uncanny things is that we will keep going in circles around happiness where the being and the end is within us. Whatever we consider meaningful in life brings joy to us. Wherever we feel the connection, connection with our meanings in life, those areas or people bring us happiness.
Another important trait to remember about happiness is that we have it within us throughout and no external person can do it for us.
What we need to understand is how certain things or people become so meaningful for us, that they add joy into our lives and how the same things when becoming meaningless, cause us pain.
Develop a relationship with yourself
The only way to understand all this is by developing a healthy relationship with self. There is a difference in being selfish and knowing self.
When you are selfish, you want others to please you.
When you know yourself, you know how to appease yourself, irrespective of external chaos.
Happiness is a choice, a choice to be YOU!

Observe the moments that bring a smile on your face

Dwell what meaning you gave to that moment to feel the joyful connection

Upgrade your happiness quotient by adding new information through multiple sources

Practice gratitude towards your body, to the people, and things in your life

Write at least 3 things you are grateful for

When you find things are beyond control reach out for professional guidance (your friends can only guide you about what they know)

Add food and fruits into your diet that are rich in serotonin levels e.g., banana, oranges

What you feed your mind matters; thoughts are food for the mind, feeding your mind with healthy thoughts will create a nourishing environment for the mind to flourish, generating a healthy perspective
