Remain sportive
When I was young, I learnt that being sportive is not about sports bu an attitude of appreciatingR the success of others. This does not happen overnight but does take place slowly but steadily. This is all about remaining sportive, or having a holistic approach to competition and challenges.We do need to remember this is always going to be a part of all our lives at all stages so this is something we need to work on always. For instance, everyone around us can remain a friend or become a competitor. We do need more friends, hence let us remember this key skill. This is as important as basic education in our life, And fortunately it is doable and possible when we make up our mind and have the intent to remain sportive always. We need to Here are some key ways to remain sportive:
1. Respect Your Opponent
Acknowledge the success, effort and skill of the opponent and avoid gloating in victory or sulking in defeat.
2. Don't focus on results alone
Concentrate on improving your skills, teamwork, and strategy. Winning is important, but the journey and the effort you put in are equally valuable.
3. Keep a Positive Attitude
A positive attitude can help you bounce back from setbacks and maintain your focus on what’s important.
4. Learn from Mistakes
Instead of getting frustrated, view mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow. Think about how you can improve by making this experience a learning..
5. Encourage Others
Support your teammates and even your opponents. Offer constructive feedback and cheer others on. This fosters a positive environment for everyone involved.
6. Stay Calm Under Pressure
Manage your emotions, especially in high-stress situations. Staying calm helps you think clearly and perform better, while also setting a good example for others.
7. Be Gracious in Victory and Defeat
Congratulate your opponents on a game well-played, and thank them for the competition.
8. Follow the Rules
Adhere to the rules of the game and respect the decisions of officials. This shows integrity and respect for the sport.
9. Enjoy the Game
Enjoy the experience, the camaraderie, and the challenge, rather than getting overly focused on the results.

After the competition, take time to reflect on your performance, what you did well, and where you can improve. This continuous improvement mindset keeps you growing as an athlete and as a person.

Life itself is a game of ups and downs so remaining sportive in the game of life is a great way to lead an adventurous, holistic and wholesome life.
