Quenching thirst of our feathered friends
In this era, everyone is just blaming others like policy matters in the matter of climate change. Yes, the climate is becoming worse bjut some areas in our nation have always had a challenging climate.
In his childhood, Kapil Prajapat from Sirohi, Rajasthan was returning home from school when he saw a dead bird fluttering on the road in this scorching heat. Kapil brought the bird home and gave it water to make it fly away. Then an idea came to Kapil's mind that it is very easy for humans to find water, so arrangements should be made for water for birds. Then he decided to install and fill water bowls for birds.
Initially, along with ten members of his friends decided to work for the welfare of animals and birds. His initiative 'Aao Milkar Pyaas Bujhaayein' in Sirohi in the summer of 2019 proved to be a great success. When the director of 'People for Animals' suggested installing water bowls, we started with 100 water bowls and installed them in places around Rampura and Sirohi where birds and animals visit the most. Happy to inform that starting with just 100 water bowls, he has installed more than 3500 bowls himself and distributed 6100 bowls to people. A total of 9600 water bowls (parinda) were distributed and installed and further efforts are on. Expo Team Sirohi was started in 2019. Many people including the extended family and friends who could see his passion came forward to help him in his mission..I remember in my childhood in Delhi, my grandmother used to keep some water for the birds in our balcony with other people following her example. Kapil is doing much more than this at a young age so slowing but steadily, this mission is succeeding. This is indeed being recognised by many. he has many titles: like being included in the Influencer Book of Records and winning the Bird Savior National Championship. , He was also awarded the Swami Vivekananda National Award 2023 by Shakti Film Production and the Indian Icon Award 2023 and Swami Vivekananda National Award 2024 in Kota. A team player he thanks everyone in his team, both directly and indirectly in this.
He is one person we shall hear more about in the coming future with rising heat and many trying to help those who cannot help themselves, both human and other species.
