Poem by Kamini Singh
S-Tealing the show!
Sir Chair is so 'disarmingly' charming.
It must be the teal that brightens him,
Or his vulnerability to pigeon droppings
that frightens him.
Isn’t it strange?
He has no seat for a bottom!
Perhaps for this, he will never be forgotten.
Or u may also find it so so sweet,
that plant growing lovingly around his feet.
Sir Chair, I know how you wait,
Expectantly,
For my perching gait,
AND how I would love to sit, your Grace,
But alas, Mr. prickly has already bagged
that bottomless place.
So, honourably, next to you,
Standing will have to do.
I admire you on my strolls every morning.
Sir Chair you are so 'disarmingly' charming.
