A meeting with masters

Wesak Purnima, or Buddha Purnima, is considered to be the holiest and most auspicious full moon of the year. All spiritual aspirants strive to do some spiritual practice during that time for it is considered to be richly rewarding.
Communing with the great masters on Wesak Purnima In Mumbai, seekers gathered under the guidance of Sameeta Nanjiani, 42, teacher at Diana Cooper School of Angels for the Wesak Valley full moon meditation. Astronomically too, that particular full moon was special for it signified the closest point between the moon and the earth.
According to Sameeta, “The Wesak full moon is the most powerful full moon of the year. It is based on the legend of the Wesak Valley which is at a high altitude in the foothills of the Himalayan-Tibetan range. It is believed that approaching the time of the full moon of Taurus, pilgrims from the surrounding districts begin to gather in the valley. There, the legend runs, gathers a group of the great beings who are the custodians on earth of God's plan for our planet and for humanity.”
Asking participants to close their eyes, she asked them to visualise Wesak valley and the great ascended souls and masters congregated there. “This group of ascended masters arrange themselves in the north-eastern end of the valley, in concentric circles, and prepare for a great act of service. In front of the rock, looking towards the northeast, stand those beings who are called by their disciples, the three great lords. They are the Christ, who stands in the centre, Manu, who stands to His right and the Lord of civilisation, who stands to His left. These three face the rock upon which rests a great crystal bowl, full of water,” she explained.
Several participants claimed to have witnessed light rays during the ceremony and many said that they had visions of the valley as they focussed on it. Towards the end, the meditation ceremony was taken outdoors, and participants were made to form a sacred symbol consisting of a star inside two circles, while invoking the names of the masters and chanting affirmations and special prayers. One woman almost lost her consciousness in ecstasy during the ceremony.
“This meditation gives people the opportunity to bring down tremendous amounts of divine energy to purify themselves, but most importantly, to be of service to our beloved Mother Earth and all of creation,” Sameeta said. “As you bless Mother Earth you generate tremendous amounts of good karma that can be utilised to bring forth prosperity, joy and happiness in your spiritual as well as material life,” she added.
