Most of us find it hard to comprehend the scriptures and those who grasp a little are conferred with the title of pundit or master. But there are a few chosen ones through whom the Almighty decides to share His latest knowledge with the world.

Suresh Kothari: sharing divine wisdom with the world
Suresh Kothari, a resident of Mumbai, was one such man. He became a direct medium through whom Lord Krishna channelled his updates for humanity after Mr Kothari had a near-death experience in 1972. Ever since then, his output of verses and spiritual messages has been prodigious. His magnum opus, undoubtedly, was the Vishnu Sahastra Naam. The book, called Gyan Vignyan Vishnu Sahastra Naam, written in Gujarati and spreading over eight volumes was unveiled recently by his close associate and follower, Manaswini Kotwala, a year-and-a-half after the sage passed on to his true home.

Manaswini Kotwala devotedly recorded every divine verse as it flowed out of Kothari’s mouth in his trance-like state and compiled them for the benefit of humanity.

“Dada was no ordinary man. He was an exalted soul who was born for a special purpose. He had a near-death experience in the year 1972 while being operated on for liver failure at a hospital, and from there his communion with the Supreme started,” explains Manaswini who has compiled more than 75,000 devotional songs, hymns and verses in languages like Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Marathi and English.

Suresh Kothari stressed that the Divine is vast and always new. “Neti, Neti means nitya nirantar naveenata – that which is new and different every moment. When the rishis said, ‘neti neti’, they meant, the Divine is so dynamic that it is difficult to grasp it, for it changes the next moment. God is vast and his wealth of knowledge keeps on multiplying and increasing every moment. Instead of clinging to the old, one should strive to discover what God has to share now, which is meant for our times,” Manaswini says.

A keen student of science, Suresh Kothari once said, “The Supreme’s divine wisdom and motherly intent presents itself in the continuous creation of atoms. This divine force sacrifices itself in the process of creation by residing and staying inside the atom in the form of atomic energy. The male and the female energy within the atom – plus and minus charges – are divine forms that release energy through their continuous cosmic dance.

“There shall come a time when science shall become a tool to take us deeper into the spiritual world,” he had prophesied.
