And Transformation Continues

And Transformation Continues

Sometimes, a book is all it takes to make a worldly man into a spiritual guru.

J Donald Walters, now known as Swami Kriyananda, found his life changed forever when he read the great Indian master Paramhansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. Receiving Kriya Yoga diksha from Yoganandaji, Swamiji was directed by him to teach and initiate others in Kriya science. And that is what he has been doing ceaselessly.

On September 12 of this year, Swami Kriyananda began his 60th year of discipleship to his guru, and his sole wish is to continue spreading his guru's mission and ideals here in India. Of his relationship with his guru he says, 'Attunement to the guru doesn't just mean, 'I believe in Him.' You need to receive him into your consciousness. Attunement with Yoganandaji helped me change my consciousness. It isn't that I became one with him in the sense that I became like him. The guru augments your power, yet you remain who you are. You'll never be anything but the individual spark of the Divine that you've always been, who you truly are.'

A tireless crusader, he is not content even after producing 90 books, 400 musical pieces, and the formation of 'world brotherhood communities,' schools, and 'temples of light' in the USA and Italy prior to founding Ananda India four years ago.

In late September, Swamiji also delivered two inspiring talks for the first time in Mumbai and Pune. These talks can be heard on the web at www.anandaindia.org. Here are just a few transformational words from his talks. He said, 'If you can let God be the Doer in all that (you do), an infinite number of things will happen as a result. You will have the power to do so much!'
