Birthing change

Right books, they say, are tools for transformation. They come to you when you need to learn your lessons and gain some perspective. Transpersonal coach and therapist Suzy Singh’s debut work, 7 Karma Codes: Healing the Storm Within, published by Life Positive Books, promises to be one such transformational tool. It was launched on July 30, in the India International Center, New Delhi, by renowned mystic, Mohanji, amidst a humongous crowd.

“If you sequentially flow through the book, you will see transformation,” he said to the august gathering. The crowd hung to every word spoken by the spiritual master and  Suzy, a renowned healer and author of the book. To the recurring question - who is this book meant for, Suzy replied, “Anyone above 15 years of age who wishes to transform his or her life and take their power back from the outside world.” ”It was also unanimously agreed upon that spirituality needs to be introduced in our education system at the school level in a contemporary way in order to raise empowered human beings. The event was followed by a one day workshop in Delhi by the author on healing emotional stress in relationships. In it very skillfully, she brought the participants from the space of  head to the heart where, according to her, instinctual knowledge resides.

In one of the exercises, participants were paired up and made to exchange one of their belongings with each other. Then she asked people to communicate with the object to find out about the emotional and mental state of their partner. And surprisingly, people saw visuals and felt feelings that belonged to the owner of that  particular thing, which were 100 percent validated by them.

As the long suppressed emotions surfaced, Suzy with great gentleness and empathy held space for them and let them heal. For many it was a moment of deep catharsis. A lady recognised that she kept getting rejected by her blood ties simply because she had felt rejected by her father at the tender age of five. This led to a deep belief that men were strong and selfish and such incidents kept repeating in her life. Said Suzy, “Healing is like giving birth to your ownself. You come out being a changed and complete person.”
