There is something about Mumbai-based healed Dinaz Dastur that will remind you of air.
Perhaps it's the grace with which she carries herself, or maybe it's just the lightness of being. A few years ago, standing in the Parsi fire temple, Dinaz experienced a sudden warmth spreading through her hands, almost as if God was telling her that her hands contained the power to heal. Paying heed to the message, she learnt reiki and combining it with affirmations and her innate curing powers, she began to help others.
Innumerable people have benefitted. A family friend who had joint pains and found it difficult to walk was so energised after a single session that he walked from her house to his house – about 10 km away! She also helped heal her son, whose face was badly scarred by a freak road accident. 'Within a month,' says Dinaz, 'the wounds and the scars had disappeared.'
Having undergone a healing process with Dinaz personally, I can write with authority that her treatment heals. Suffering from indigestion problems I went to Dinaz more out of curiosity than to find relief. The one-hour treatment was done with so much care and devotion that I got out feeling not just energised, but loved. The whole experience can be compared to being in a mother's womb, feeling warm, secure and protected. She tells people who come to her to drink a lot of water afterwards, as the healing releases a lot of toxins from the body. Each time I had a glass of water I envisioned that I was flushing all the toxins from my stomach, as she suggested, and indeed, felt much better. In fact, I have not once taken medicine for my stomach since!
An artist by profession, a healer by choice, the world needs a few more people like her.
