Make war illegal

How come we didn’t think of this before?

No more war!
The World Peace Congress 2010 held at Nakhonnoyak in Bangkok, Thailand, came to a very eventful end with the passing of a historical declaration – a Universal Declaration of Renunciation of War as an Instrument of State Policy. The World Peace Congress, an amalgam of intellectuals from across the globe, has asked the United Nations to declare war as illegal and a crime against mankind. A copy of the resolution, drafted by Life Positive advisor and Supreme Court lawyer, G. Venkatesh Rao, has been sent to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, requesting him to ask all Heads of States of the 192 members of the UN to adopt the same by suitably amending their individual Constitutions or by enacting a special law through their Legislatures. The World Peace Congress held in July, saw a good participation from major nations including China and the US, despite the strife, sectarian violence and serious political disturbance in Thailand. The declaration also stated that even after 65 years of the UN Charter having been enacted and adopted by over 192 member states, the scourge of war continues to plague Planet Earth. It has brought about untold misery and has further created other problems like global warming and disappearance of valuable non-renewable resources. The WPC was originally convened in 2007 in Utah, USA, and is the brainchild of Professor Rajani Kanepalli Kanth of Utah University. It was set up with the objective of providing institutional basis for co-respective and co-operative peace between peoples of different countries.
