My faults first
August 2009
I often see the faults in others before I see my own, Which makes my judgment of other people often times be wrong.
I often see the faults in others before I see my own,
Which makes my judgment of other people often times be wrong.
Sometimes I see in others, old habits that I used to own,
Instead of praying for them I tend to look and scold.
I am quick to see a correction, that someone else may need,
But slow to pay attention, to my unjustly deeds.
If I would take more time, to focus on myself,
There would be no need for me, to criticise anyone else.
Lord, please remove, the logs within my eyes,
That focuses my attention, on other people’s lives.
Keep me concerned, with my own affairs,
Help me correct my errors, confessing them to You in prayer.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
