Alone but positive
It was great to read the article Alone But Not Lonely in the March 2021 issue. It was most appropriate in the light of loneliness being a killer disease of the present-day sedentary lifestyle. It will kill us unless we deeply understand that we are alone but not lonely as our real or Divine Self is with us. The problem occurs when we regard everything as being physical. By being alone, you find adequate time to talk to the Self; it is a great force. Moreover, if you have a purpose in life, then too you are never lonely. Great people in world history could harness aloneness to give so much to the world. However, we should get rid of loneliness at the earliest as it will swallow our life.

In the latest issue of Life Positive, I read the article Alone But Not Lonely. It is such a coincidence that a few days ago, while I was sitting and thinking to find answers to life questions, I read a few articles by Ajay Kalra. And now the latest LP has an article by him! In life, nothing happens without a reason. So here I am, connecting with you.

Four years ago, I lost my husband—a true companion in every sense. He was gone physically, but, till date, he has been with me mentally as my strength. I have never craved for outside company. My children and grandchildren live with me, but I live ‘alone.’ I connect to this article so well. There has been so much to do. The pandemic brought out the best of my creativity as a ceramic artist. On the spur of the moment, I thought of sharing my thoughts.

Transcending yugas
I’d like to comment on the March 2021 issue cover story Are We Entering a New Yuga? Lord Krishna told Arjuna: “We both were there in the past and will be there in the future also. Why bother now? Life continues eternally. You and I are experiencing all the happenings of all the yugas!”

All masters advise us to abide in the Self to liberate ourselves. Achieve it in this life itself, not later. Then you are free from the yuga effect.

Love the ‘Lover within’
I liked the column Accessing the Lover Within by editor Shivi Verma in the February 2021 issue.

So many people profess to love us. Some love us truly, while others, selfishly. But since we are mostly disconnected from our inner Self, we often misunderstand our real well-wishers and fall for those who pander to our ego for their own interests.

Many times, the ones advising us are operating from fear and prevent us from doing what we actually want to do. Like parents who compel their children to study courses which do not interest them because they fear that they won’t find jobs later on. Many children succumb to this pressure, while others revolt angrily, which harms them.

If we could all learn to connect with God, who is our truest lover, we would know what to do in situations where we don’t understand and which path is the best to take. A deep and sincere connection with God has the power to transform our lives for the better. Thank you, Shivi Verma, for highlighting this fact again.
