Spreading the word

Spreading the word

The June 2016 issue was exceptional. Sister Shivani’s article, The power of truth and purity was just superb. How true it is that Life Positive has unfolded the divinity in every person who has ever held it in his hands. Saraswathi Vasudevan’s 20- minutes meditation on the inward journey truly highlighted that inner joy was far superior to anything we can experience outside. And  topping everything was Suma Varughese’s  article, Hello, stranger, where she talks about experiencing joy through small acts of fellowship. I am inspired to introduce  this wonderful magazine to not only my friends but also to strangers. Wishing this magazine a great success. Uma Nagarajan, Pune Green heroes The cover article, Gentleman farmers, by Punya Srivastava in the July 2016 issue of Life Positive was very interesting and thought-provoking. So much has been said and written about organic farming in recent times. People like Bharat Mansata, the late Bhasker Save, T S Ananthu, Rama Pai, Dr Pratap Agarwal are classic examples of those who have devoted their lives to propagating organic farming. Mansoor Khan, a film-maker, has set an example by starting an organic farm in Coonoor. Kudos to Life Positive magazine for publishing this article. Madhusudan Vora via email Pearls of wisdom One cannot feel at ease till the new issue of Life Positive is received and gone through. Many articles are read repeatedly to properly understand the depth and gain holistically. As usual, Editspeak is what catches my gaze first, and despite being brief it contains so much! May Suma Varughese go on distributing pearls of great thoughts for all times to come! She is a blessed soul. All the articles in the July 2016 issue were very good. I found The Art Of Being by Megha Bajaj very useful.  Regular indepth feeling of ‘I am’ gives immense spiritual strength. Through Punya Srivastava’s article on Sociocracy, I came across a new subject about which I had not known earlier. Many thanks. Kapil Sopory Vaishali, Ghaziabad. God as our guide Looking for a role model, by Shivi Verma in the June 2016 issue was a fine read. I fully agree that it is very difficult to find the right role model since there are always deficits.  As we journey through life, playing the different roles of householder, family member, professional, and member of society, we realise that there are no perfect relationships. We all are trying to do our best with our own capabilities and personality traits. In all of our life’s trials and tribulations, it is our complete faith and trust in God that carries us through. We realise God is always with us, and whether others are with us or not does not really matter. A devotee who truly loves God can get the answers from Him since He is our true friend, who loves, guides and guards us. The worldly life is a big test, where we have to perform our actions with sincerity, courage, endurance, compassion, while all the time holding on to God. As Sri Sai said, "You dwell in the world, let the world not dwell in you." Nandini Ramakrishnan via email
