AHA-MOMENTS

You can’t cheat GOD

Authenticity will make you a better human being because the world responds to your vibes says Megha  Sometimes, do you meet  people who say and do all  the right things, and yet  something within you just does not  feel convinced about them? You  feel a little doubtful and anxious  about them. And vice versa. Some  people are so in the face, and yet,  inherently, you like them. You  trust them.

I have come to realise that a lot of  people are trying to be something  that they are not. Our education  system taught us that it’s okay  to have positive emotions, but it  didn’t teach us how to deal with  negativity or our vulnerabilities.  A lot of us were not accepted for  crying, being scared, or feeling  jealous or angry, in our childhood  and, therefore, started believing  that it’s not okay to have these  emotions.

However, truth be told, we all  still feel these emotions, and  since they don’t seem acceptable  to the world outside, we start  masking them and pretending  to be people we are not. I think  this suppression is one of the  biggest causes of mental illness  and physical ailments that exist  in our world today.

And the answer is to be a lot more  authentic to the world. And most  importantly, to ourselves. There  is a system beyond all human  systems—the God system—and  you cannot cheat this.

Even if you convince the whole  world that you are happy but you  know in your heart of hearts how  unhappy you are, you will only  keep drawing more of that. The  system responds to your vibes, not  just to your words. Even if you try  to convince the whole world how  beautiful you are but, within, you  have ugly thoughts for others and  you don’t really wish them well,  at some point, the system will  respond only to this, and you will  draw unpleasantness into your  life. The system is responding to  who you are at the core and not to  what you are presenting yourself  as.

Having said this, the truth is that  all of us are a mix of the good  and the bad. So how do we tackle  this? The more honest I am with  myself and the more accepting I  am towards my vulnerabilities,  the easier it is to transcend them.  Rather than trying to pretend  that a problem does not exist, or a  flaw isn’t there, simply accepting  it as it is and embracing it has  allowed me to let go of it.

In fact, the span in which I  feel the negative emotion, has  lessened by simply accepting that  this is me and it’s perfectly fine.  Also, when it comes to relating  with others, most people prefer  honesty, even if it’s a little tough  to handle. If there are people who  only want sycophants around  them, I wouldn’t be able to get  along in any case. I prefer to have  relationships that are real and  honest, and if that makes them  imperfect, so be it.

You just cannot cheat God! Who  you are, you are.

It’s your vibes that are going to  make things happen for you.  Instead of pretending to be good,  working on yourself and actually  becoming good is easier. Instead  of pretending to be happy just for  social media, it is easier to work on  yourself and become happy.

The Universe is responding to  who we are. It is a system that is  immaculate and cannot be cheated.  So, let’s work on ourselves and get  ourselves right, rather than trying  to show the world that we are right.
